Acquiring Cypriot Citizenship

According to the Law (and relevant decisions of the Council of Ministers) foreign investors/entrepreneurs can apply for Cyprus citizenship by exemption if they fulfill the following criteria:

• Above 30 years of age.
• Permanent residency in Cyprus.
• No criminal record.
• Direct investments in Cyprus of more than 25 million euros and/or establishment of company/companies in Cyprus with total annual turnover over 85 million euros and/or personal bank deposits of more than 17 million euros and/or proof that by his/her activities will introduce to a large extent, new and innovative technology, in major sectors of the Cyprus economy.

Note: None of the above criteria restricts the Council of Ministers from taking any decision.
