All phone calls in Cyprus are chargeable. One can phone from a public telephone, a hotel room, or a phone-booth. Pay phones in Cyprus are of two types: those accepting 5, 10 or 20 cent coins, and those accepting special phone cards. The "Telecard" can be bought from any souvenir shop, at the post office, or at a bank. The price of cards can be 5, 10 or 20 EUROS, depending on their call duration.

When calling abroad, one should dial 00 + the code of the country + code of the town + phone number. The code for Russia is – 007.
